A few months ago, Seeco Records introduced a brand new Latin vocal and instrumental group. They called themselves the "La Plata Sextette" and their introductory album was titled "The Plata Sextette Swings for You."

In the eighteen year history of Seeco Records, La Plata's reception has never been topped. The fabulous guitar solos by Frankie Sanchez and the vocals of Feliciano and the beautiful Reila added a whole new dimension to the mambo and the cha-cha-cha.

The Sanchez guitar is so strong that it duplicates completely the sound and place that a piano would ordinarily occupy in a group this size. At the same time, the tremendous mobility of the guitar gives impetus to the whirlwind tempos which are already a La Plata trademark. The sound is unique.

On this their new album, "La Plata Swings Again," the group has returned for a well deserved encore.
