AL ESCOBAR... Moving, Moving, always moving - from birth in Barranquilla, Colombia to his growing up in New York City, and working with Tito Puente, Miguelito Valdes and Vicentico Valdes as well as other top bands and then moving again to California where he starded his own band 10 years ago. AL has played in such top spots as the Hollywood Paladium, Ciro's, Club Seville on the West Coast and then as Musical Director for Eartha Kitt, worked his way east by way of the Stardust in Las Vegas and ending up at the Copacabana in New York and then to the Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach for two years.

Moving, always moving toward the end result... this album, "THE MODERN SOUNDS OF AL ESCOBAR". This album of Al's is a mixture of Latin and Sound Music arranged by Al. He also sings a beatiful bolero, "Esta Tarde Vi Llover", and composed a song "Ape Walk", which is also the name of a dance he originated. Special credit is given to Pete Bonet and Ray Pedaza who are the vocalists on this  album and thanks to Joe Venneri and Frank Dahm of incredible Sound
Studios in New York City.
